On the issues
What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
All functions of city government are being hampered by constant scandal within the D.C. Council. We need greater accountability to taxpayers. I believe that fiscal responsibility should start with contracting reform. While council members and their friends profit financially, the city's problems fester, and our tax dollars are wasted. The council needs to focus on the tough issues of education reform, affordable housing, crime and economic prosperity for all citizens. As public servants, council members should concentrate on providing the best quality of life for their residents. I have a strong record of accomplishment on such issues in my ANC.
Why should voters elect you?
I am a principled person, unbought and unbossed, who has the leadership and life experiences to put this city I love on the right track.
