On the issues
What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
The economy and our shared prosperity is the most urgent problem facing the District of Columbia. The economy impacts job availability, access to affordable housing, and the poverty rate. As we take steps to improve the economy, we need to ensure that the recovery lifts up all parts of our city. Business groups, workers' groups and community leaders have come together to support my candidacy because they know my record and believe in my message of shared prosperity.
Why should voters elect you?
My record reflects a deep passion for serving all residents of the District, including our businesses, employees and communities.
