U-Va. Board of Visitors Draft Statement of Expectations

A committee of the University of Virginia's Board of Visitors met Wednesday, July 30, to discuss a draft statement of expectations for members of the board, which leads the state's flagship public university. The draft includes suggested language that would limit board members' ability to openly discuss board matters, especially if they disagree with the outcome of votes, requiring board members to "publicly support, or at the very least not openly oppose, the Board's action as a strong, visible consensus facilitates successful execution of policy and strategy."
