Interior Email Describing the Genesis of Its "Made in America" Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee
In this Nov. 7, 2017 email, a National Park Service official says the new advisory committee Interior is creating is "coming out of" Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's conversations with a consultant for the outdoor industry and hospitality industry.

Attached is a copy of the signed Federal Register Notice of Establishment/Call for Nominations and the Charter for the new NPS Committee "Made In America Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee.
The FR Notice will be on display tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7th and published on Wednesday, November 8th.
You have been designated as the point of contact for this new Committee until a Designated Federal Officer is selected.

I didn't know they were making an announcement today, but I dropped the ball on not giving you a heads-up about this on Thursday. We've submitted your name to Maureen to be the Designated Federal Officer. Your portfolio seems to be the best fit. This FACA committee is coming out of Derrick's conversations with the Secretary. I'll let you know if the Department confirms you will be the designated federal officer.
