D.C.-area salaries in 2014
Here is a look at salary growth for some job categories in the Washington region, from a survey of local businesses by the Human Resource Association of the National Capital Area completed this September. Data are drawn from a sample of 318 employers with an average of 1,135 employees and a median of 195 employees, and for each job printed here there were at least 30 employees from at least 10 employers. Salary figures represent the number of dollars allocated to payroll for a given employee, excluding bonuses and benefits. This means that changes in the median salary do not equate to raises across the job category: a shift in the amount budgeted per employee could result from raises or from staff turnover.
