Making and selling tobacco
Tobacco remains big business despite tighter regulations on how it is marketed and sold. A group of five tobacco exporting countries have allied with the industry to challenge the spread of “plain packaging” laws. The countries involved aren’t the biggest exporters — that title belongs to Germany. But they do have a stake in maintaining the stature and pricing of premium cigars and cigarettes.
