D.C. Music Madness Tournament
Dear readers, In the midst of all of the madness that is March, we had a technical issue that swapped the placement of our original brackets. It was never our intent to pit poor John Fahey against Dave Grohl. We blame a repressed devious streak that wanted to see a mellow Fahey take down the over-exposed Grohl. And the late March snow. We blame that too. To right this egregious wrong we have reset our bracket, and encourage you all to recast your votes for the proper match-ups. Our deepest apologies. Now let the search for the true champion commence. ---- When basketball teams meet in the NCAA tournament, there’s only one way to declare a winner, but all those brackets had us seeing a tournament of an entirely different kind, with a little more harmony. Washington’s musical pedigree is legendary and has produced iconic artists from all genres of music. And as March drew to a close, we wondered, “But who’s the top?” We want to know how you’d score a 32-artist/band showdown. Each day, click on your pick and see who advances to the next round the following day, based on the popular vote. Keep making your picks through Sunday, when it will be time to vote for the winner of our D.C. Music Madness Championship, and then compare your bracket with that of Post music critic Chris Richards as he reveals his bracket winners in The Washington Post Magazine.
