Working overtime in Montgomery County
A recent report by the County Council's Office of Legislative Oversight identified 5,605 county government employees who worked overtime between January 2011 and June 2012. Here are some findings from the report.
Fire and Rescue employees who earned the most overtime pay
Thirteen firefighters in particular worked significant overtime hours during the entire year of 2012, doubling their total income and collectively earning more than $1.1 million in overtime pay in 2012. Officials say they have specialties that are constantly in demand.
