E-mails show administration had concerns about HealthCare.gov contractor
Over the past few weeks the House Oversight and Government Reform and the Energy and Commerce Committees have released internal e-mails that capture some of the interactions between federal officials and CGI Federal, the main contractor working on the online enrollment system, in the run-up to the Oct. 1 launch of HealthCare.gov. These e-mails, as well as ones circulated among employees at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), reflect the anxiety some federal officials had over the project's ability to perform on time.
