Shrinking U.S. Government Oversight in Afghanistan
U.S. government officials will lose much of their ability to directly inspect large, American-funded projects in Afghanistan. In 2009, inspectors had access to 68 percent of the country. They are projected to have access to 21 percent in 2014.
