Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown has the early lead for the Democratic primary. The Republican side is much less settled with four candidates polling under 20 percent. Social issues such as gay marriage and legalizing marijuana are taking a back seat to traditional state issues as voters consider their choices. The scandals revolving around Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler (D) and Brown have yet to make a big dent.

It has been reported that Gansler has been accused of ordering some state police troopers assigned to him to regularly speed and run red lights when he traveled to routine appointments. Will this be a major factor, a minor factor or not a factor in your vote for governor?
Gansler was photographed attending a high school beach week party last year where his son was in attendance and there was alleged underage drinking. Will this be a major factor, a minor factor or not a factor in your vote for governor?
Brown is responsible for implementing the healthcare reform law in Maryland. The state’s online health insurance marketplace has had technical problems and has not enrolled as many people as expected. Will this be a major factor, a minor factor or not a factor in your vote for governor?
