Compensation to Yemeni families of those killed or wounded in drone strike
Yemeni documents indicate payments of at least $1 million to families of those killed or injured in a U.S. drone strike in December. The payments appear to reflect a determination by the Yemeni government that there were civilian casualties in the strike. U.S. officials have declined to say whether the United States was involved in the payouts.
