    These are some of the key figures during the Tiananmen Square protests. Where are they now?

    On June 4, 1989, tens of thousands of Chinese troops using tanks and submachine guns put down a demonstration in Tiananmen Square led by students protesting government corruption and seeking a more democratic system. At least several hundred, and possibly several thousand, were killed. These are some of the key players during the protests 25 years ago, who have since taken vastly different routes. Tiananmen massacre lives on in Chinese art world.
