ATK
Defense contractor ATK, best known for producing ammunition and rockets, relocated its headquarters from Minneapolis to Arlington, where it already housed its Washington operations office. The company, more formally known as Alliant Techsystems, said the move, which meant taking over an additional floor in its Rosslyn office, would help ATK have a closer relationship with the government.
Trivia
ATK was formed when Honeywell spun off its defense business. The company developed the first electronic autopilot for the B-17 bomber for use on missions during World War II.
