ITT Exelis
ITT Exelis specializes in electronics and communications equipment such as radios, as well as technical services such as cybersecurity and intelligence offerings. In 2011, the company became an independent public company, splitting off from parent company ITT. As part of the split, Exelis opted to expand in its Tysons Corner headquarters and to take on its new name (the ITT piece will eventually be dropped), along with a new orange color scheme and logo.
Trivia
The original International Telephone & Telegraph was created in 1920 by two brothers named Sosthenes and Hernand Behn who set out to build the first worldwide system of interconnected telephone lines.
