Cybersecurity has become a priority for government and commercial entities alike as attacks on Web sites and computer networks grab headlines. Sourcefire offers a mix of software and services designed to find where a system is vulnerable and defend it accordingly. But computing habits and threats are always evolving. Sourcefire announced its $21 million acquisition of Immunet just five days into 2011, adding a cloud platform to its portfolio as more organizations shift to Web-based computing.
