5. Children’s National Medical Center

In February Children’s announced that it would expand services at the neonatal intensive care unit at Mary Washington Hospital and in the newborn nurseries at both Mary Washington and Stafford Hospital. In what would be a further expansion of its services in the region, Children’s has also discussed a partnership with Inova Health System about ways to expand pediatric care in Northern Virginia.

Trivia

Children’s staff incorporate dogs into their work in the hospital’s eating disorders clinic and radiology lab.
