1. Inova Health System

In the fall, the Inova Governance Board approved the establishment of a Comprehensive Cancer and Research Institute, which the organization says will allow the coordination of cancer services provided across all five Inova hospitals. The center will be housed at a seven-story, free-standing cancer facility on the Inova Fairfax Hospital campus. The group also named Patrick Christiansen chief executive of Inova Fairfax Medical Campus.


Inova offers an smart phone application enabling patients to check wait times at emergency rooms.
