4. Qinetiq North America

Qinetiq North America, which builds products such as unmanned systems and radios and offers services such as training, opened a new Quantico office in Stafford this year. The new office consolidated three previous Stafford locations and is home to 350 employees. The company also named Gary Slack, formerly of BAE Systems, chief financial officer. Slack spent 13 years with BAE and also previously worked for TRW.


The average TALON robot, built by Qinetiq North America, is blown up and sent back into action thirteen times in its lifetime.
